"My dad has been with State Farm since 1968 when he came home from Vietnam. Not one claim filed- ever - in 52 yrs. He had a rock hit his windshield so I told him let's call your insurance company to get fixed. When we called his agent Damien Ocampo's office we were told my dad didn't have glass coverage, which I thought was so odd because it's always been included within my policies (not State Farm) and if he wanted the windshield replaced he would need to file a claim and pay his $500 deductible. The gentleman followed up with my dad could change to a zero deductible for only $30 more every six months. My dad immediately said let's do that, questioning why that option had not been offered to begin with or at all since. My dad then inquired again about getting his windshield fixed and was told his $500 deductible would still apply. I'm his daughter and was also on the call. I expressed that my dad was trying to do the right thing. He could have lied about the windshield, changed the deductible & then filed a claim and the windshield would have been fixed - but he didn't - he was honest. That didn't matter to Damien Ocampo State Farm office who had been my dads agent since moving to NM many, many years ago. Not once - ever - did Damien Ocampo ever reach out to my dad over all the years to go over his policies, ask about changes that may have occurred that would warrant a change in coverage, etc. His agency mearly sat back and watched the money roll in, all while making no effort to earn my dads business. My dad now has a new insurance company. It's less expensive and includes free glass replacement, roadside assistance, uninsured and under insured which he also didn't have with State Farm as well as higher coverage limits all around. Moral of the story folks - shop around. My dad, as well as many others think because State Farm has been around for so long they're the best - they're not. My dad for a customer is what insurance companies dream of. No maintenance and no claims. Literally, after not having filed a single claim, ever, in 52 years not making a simple windshield situation right? State Farm should be ashamed of themselves. Damien Ocampo's State Farm Agency should be ashamed of themselves. To top it off when my dad called to cancel his policies a few weeks ago, you would have thought Mr. Ocampo would have picked up the phone and called my dad after everything that had taken place and all the years that my dad had been with his agency. Well, my dads phone never rang just as it hadn't in all the years before. For 52 years my dad was loyal to State Farm. Too bad State Farm chose to not be loyal to him."

"Lisa, as we discussed on the phone I understand your frustration. I am unable to discuss the details of coverage with someone who is not listed on a policy. My team and I offered many solutions to try and help. Customer service and doing what is right by my customers is extremely important to my team and I. I have spoken with you directly on this as has my team. If there is still a concern please contact me. "

"They have been a nightmare to work with from day one. My husband and I changed policies from Arizona to New Mexico. They were able to seamlessly transfer his direct payment to our new agents office, but mine didn't go through. I then get a letter informing me my New policy was about to be cancelled with them. I call them. I pay. I ask for direct withdrawal payments and am told they set that up for me, no worries. A few months ago by. I then received a notice in the mail of them cancelling my policy within a few days if I do not pay. This time I owed approximately three months of back insurance payments that I had to pay all at once or risk cancellation of policy. Again. I'm lucky that I could afford that as the sum was not insignificant. I spoke to the man who took the payment and received the direct payment form (again) and filled it out (again) and was assured this would never happen (again). It did. They attempted to cancel my policy due to lack of payment five times. Due to their own negligence. I submitted the requested paper work. Every. Time. The worst offense however was when due to their negligence (again) my cars registration was at risk of being cancelled by the state. Had that happened I would have incurred fees to reinstate it and purchase it (again). This was due to them not submitting my paperwork to the state which is their responsibility when you register a car in a new state. I called and asked what needed to be done so my registration wasn't cancelled, I was asked to fill out the registration verification form and then email it to them. And I did. I also at that same moment filled out and sent my direct payment information (again). The next month I get a letter from the state informing me I have five days before they cancel my registration. As well as a letter from Damien Ocampo informing me of lapsed payment and imminent cancellation of my policy. (Again). I call them. Turns out they never even submitted my paperwork (AGAIN). I literally heard the man give a little chuckle to himself. I would have laughed too- in disbelief, had I not been so scared of paying for my registration twice in one month and several back payments in insurance (again). But I'm sure it was funny as someone it didn't effect. Now all of this was forgettable, gratefully behind us as the darkest chapter of our lives. Closed forever. Because my husband got a new job and we changed to a local State Farm agent. Bit of a bummer as they had only recently successfully and finally figured out my direct withdrawal payments. But. We were assured our payments would seamlessly transfer to our new agent (again). His did and mine didn't (again). But my payment this month didn't go through. For the first time in a few months I received a Notice of Cancellation (again). I was mugged and had to get all new cards. My direct payment couldn't go through and I had forgotten to set up my new direct payments. Alright that one's on me. I accept. I go to pay my new State Farm Agent policy holder- but guess who is the owner of my account? Oh. Damien Ocampos office. They have failed to transfer my payment information from their office and have now sent me a notice of cancellation. AGAIN. MY PAYMENT ACCOUNT WAS NOT TRANSFERRED. AGAIN. Frustrated to the point of tears talking to the 24 hour hotline after work, again. Thank God Marilyn on the 24 hour hotline helped me figure out that they had never changed my address or my payment plan. Wish I could give you all 0/10. No one has ever apologized to me from this office. The people who answer the phone in your office were not understanding nor kind to me when I had these repeated issues. When I would finally get frustrated and brave enough to ask for a manager I was told he wasn't there. Again. As of ten minutes ago- My policy and payment account have been successfully transferred to my new agent in hopes that I will never have to deal with your unprofessional negligent office Again."
